The Johanssons family

Welcome to Älgbergets B&B – a home with history and heart!

Älgbergets B&B was opened in 2009 by the Johansson family – me, Maria, my husband Morgan, and our boys Emil, Anton, and Albin. We run the business together as a family enterprise, where both forestry and contracting are part of our everyday life.

The farm is heated with wood chips from our own forest, and hot water is produced using solar panels. Locally produced and sustainable – just the way we want it.

Our farm has a long and vibrant history. It is a classic farmhouse from the 1940s and was used as a dairy farm until the 1990s. It then became a horse farm and even hosted the Swedish Championships in tölt.

Later, a school and accommodation for young people were run on the site – the stable apartment that is now used as accommodation was then a classroom, and long before that, cows stood there chewing hay.

The main house, which we call Bagarstugan, dates to the late 1800s. Many flatbreads have been baked here over the years, and the warm, authentic feeling still lingers in the walls.

Today, Älgberget is a place for rest, nature, and community. A place where tranquillity descends as soon as you turn up the road, and where both history and nature help to create harmony.

We hope you will gather your family, pack your bags, and come here to enjoy a stay in our natural and homely environment.

A warm welcome to Älgbergets B&B – where care and comfort go hand in hand with the history of the farm.
